Our History

Sharon Bank was established as a state-chartered Delaware County, Pennsylvania based institution on December 2, 1873. At Sharon Bank, we strive to provide personalized, courteous, and efficient service to both depositors and borrowers. We embrace our role as a community bank by attracting regional deposits which are invested back into real estate and other loans throughout our various communities. At Sharon Bank, we recognize the importance of reinvesting in our service area. It is through our foundation as a community bank that Sharon Bank has cultivated a philosophy of service and giving back through the support of local businesses and organizations.

Sharon Bank proudly serves Delaware County with 5 traditional bank branches throughout the area.

Our Darby office has been serving the area for 150 years. This location has moved a few times over the years to best serve the Community and to support our growth. Sharon Bank maintains strong ties to the community in the Darby area through acts of service and support. The Darby Office is currently located in the heart of the community at 901 Main Street in Darby, PA.

Our first Springfield location was established on Brookside Rd back in 1980. Sharon Bank developed a strong business and consumer following during our time at the Brookside location. After years of growth, the Bank realized the need for a more robust service offering such as an ATM, Drive Thru and Safe Deposit boxes. The branch relocated to its current location on Saxer Avenue in the heart of Springfield’s developing restaurant and business district.

Our Aston office was opened in the Summer of 1995. As a result of our growing customer base, the Bank wanted to extend its reach into additional communities within Western Delaware County. This location also extended our reach into Chester County and Delaware. The office has remained at the same location on Pennell Road since its original opening but has gone through multiple renovations through the years.

Our South Street office opened in 2003. The Bank’s original Philadelphia presence was located at 17th and Snyder. After years at that location, the bank relocated to 4th and Bainbridge Streets. As the business and consumer client base grew, the bank purchased and renovated our current location at 19th and South Streets.

Our second Springfield location was opened in October 2019. This office was opened in conjunction with the move of our Corporate Offices to our newest location at 900 W Sproul Rd. The Sproul Rd branch broadens the Bank’s reach deeper into Delaware County while providing support to our lending and administrative offices.
